Five Songs - Happy UnBirthday!

Believe it or not, I am not the Mad Hatter disguising as an awesome music blogger.  I am just a person wanting to share music.
And I have five songs, just because that's how great I am.

1)  Love Actually by Cady Groves. I heard this while searching for her newest music on YouTube.  I've been a fan of her since, "This Little Girl".
2) Any Way You Want It by Journey. This song is just too superb.  It would be a crime not to share it.  Journey is a great group.  "Faithfully" is one of my faves.

3) I Hate Myself For Loving You by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. I just really like this song.  You will too, I know it.

4) I'm Alive (Life Sounds Like) by Michael Franti & Spearhead. If you liked the song "Say Hey, I Love You" then we are best friends across the distance.  Oh, and I think you'll enjoy this song.
5)  Done. by The Band Perry.  I can't tell you how many times, I've listened to this song.  (Way too many times.)  It's definitely one of my 'Top Five" by them.  It comes after "Better Dig Two" and "Mother Like Mine".

Listen up, people.  You will not be sorry.  *smile*

I've Got This Friend (Song)

I heard this song while listening to one of my Spotify radio stations.  It is an adorable song, in my opinion.
I heard it awhile ago, but I listened to it the other day and wanted to share it with the world.

It deserves to be heard over and over again.

There Are Things To Say

Safetysuit is a great group.  The whole world should just accept this universal truth.

Here's a song you need to listen to...

 --> "Things To Say".

It's a sweet song with a pretty tune. :)  So, take a listen!

I'll Be Your Soldier...(Gavin Degraw)

I absolutely adore this song.  I have ever since it came out.

Side note:  Gavin Degraw has a sexy voice.

"I'll get it if you need it,
I'll search if you don't see it,
You're thirsty, I'll be rain,
You get hurt, I'll take your pain.

I know you don't believe it,
But I said it and I still mean it,
When you heard what I told you,
When you get worried I'll be your soldier."

Doesn't that sound so amazing?

Below is an A Capella version of the song by "Straight No Chaser".

KARMIN ~ Love This Duo

It's official, the all-wonderful "Karmin" have a new song!  It came out in June, so I'm a wee bit sad that I missed the debut.  BUT, the debut for me was today!! So yay.  :)

"Acapella", is the name and it's so catchy.  You MUST listen to the end.
 There's a funny part.
 (Funny to me at least.)

And I've said this many times recently, but

    THIS NEEDS TO BE MAINSTREAM.

"Just Another Story" Part Two

                                                          ~*~
Gretchen grabbed Douglas’ hand then faced the judge.  “You may kiss the bride,” he said in a bored like tone.  Despite his lack of enthusiasm, Gretchen and Douglas shared a deep smile then leaned into a tender kiss.  Pulling back, they gazed into each other’s eyes, excited about what the future held for the two of them.

“So, did they get married out of forbidden love?”  Lois’ eyes were as round as marbles as she desperately waited for Gretchen’s response.
Gretchen grinned.  “Hardly.  He had been sworn the military awhile before they decided to get married, and he was supposed to leave the next day for boot camp.  They had gotten really close three weeks before he was to leave, so they just went with their hearts.”  Closing her eyes, she thought back. “They cared for each other, so much.”
Lois pouted, “I don’t see how people can marry without love.”  She rested her elbows on her knees, holding the pout in place.
“Well, sometimes love can grow.”  Gretchen smiled to ease Lois’ moping.
“Was that their case?”  Lois perked up instantly.
Laughing, she dodged her question. “I haven’t even gotten halfway into the story.  How about I just continue telling it?”
“This better be good.”  Lois leaned back into the chair.

Douglas grabbed Gretchen’s ring-less, left hand, “I can’t believe we actually did it, wife!”  He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed the back of it, clearly pleased.
Gretchen smiled, her heart fluttering at the unusual act from Douglas, “Me neither. I’m glad we did though!”
Douglas smiled in response, dropping her hand.
They walked passed shop windows, chatting about small things for what could’ve been hours, but in reality was only less than one.  “What do you want to do before you leave?” Gretchen asked innocently.
Douglas stopped and faced her, sending a wink, “What do you want to do, Gretch?”
